A group of students of BEd from Delhi University, had gone to Bhopal on a study tour. They had booked the entire coach for themselves. There were a number of girl students in the group. While returning to Delhi after the tour, the Express train for technical reason was converted into a passenger train and kept stopping at all the wayside stations. At Palwal in Haryana about 60 km from Delhi on Mathura-Delhi highway, a large number of trains boarded the train. They were local passengers probably who were used to travelling on the route virtually daily, and perhaps behaved like local bullies which one could object to at his own risk. Some of them insisted on sitting with the girls, and should have the licence to pass lewd remarks as if all the girls in the world other than their own mothers and sisters are sex objects to be leered at.Some of the boys took umbrage at this, and requested them to move ahead and behave themselves. To this, one of them took out his leather belt and startrd beating one of the students for daring to say anything to them ,the self-proclaimed 'DADAS'(goondas). The group of people of the area gave them a temporary anonymity and licence to indulge in unfettered daring to take the law unto their own hands.Alone RPF fellow available around the place could not do much other than request them to calm down. Not satisfied with this, they gathered their friends from other coaches and decoupled the coach in which the Delhi University students were travelling from the rest of the train.Had they not closed the doors and windows immediately, they would have tasted the Haryanvi wrath for defying the local goondas who could not allow this to occur as they are to travel daily without anybody questioning their authority. They wanted to teach them a lesson. After all, they behaved as though nothing could put fear of law into them. These Haryanvi goondas broke the window panes and tried opening the emergency window of the coach with rest of the people becoming mute spectators.Several students were injured and one of them is still admitted in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences with the bleak chance of being able to save his injured eye.
HATS OFF TO THOSE GUYS WHO STOOD UP AGAINST THIS BULLYING IN THE TRAIN.
Imagine the plight of a family man travelling in the train with grown up daughters and such a thing happens. The entire machinery of the government should uphold the law and the men accompanying them should have stood up against this high-handedness.We should all condemn this with one voice as this is an abominable crime.Haryanvis should learn to accept women as human beings and not treat them as SEX OBJECTS.They need to drastically alter thaeir attitude.
