ASK AND YOU WILL GET IT

My daughter,Avani,is eleven years old.Even at this age, they have their groups . One group will not talk with another if it is the rival group.

She is learning Taekondo.Because of her annual function of the dance school, she missed some of the crucial Taekondo classes. As a result, she was not well prepared for her tests for the yellow belt.Incidentally she had to miss her first test for the belt owing to the annual function.

She started crying as she was not confident of the all the moves that have been taught in the classes. She could not remember them.

We advised her to talk to her friends in the taekondo class who know the steps. She refused because they all belonged to the rival group. But on our insistence she agreed to talk to them on phone. What would happen at the most,we tried to convince her.She would receive no for an answer. She should be prepared for that.As it was ,she had no help coming from anywhere. But if somebody agreed to help, she could clear the exam without any problem.
As the luck would have it,none of her friends said that they would not help. There was some problem initially, but in the nick of time they all helped and she could learn some of the forgotten moves and steps. However, she had little time to prepare though. She started asking late assuming that none would help.
She learnt a lesson that day.We hesitate to ask.Ask and thou shall be given.
